Spam isn’t exclusive to email, it shows up in multiple areas.
I have been getting all of this spam mail for two weeks that I have never gotten before. I do not know who sold my email address or how my email address got stolen, but now I get all of these weird emails that i don't want. I only received emails from my contacts before. How do i stop the spam, and how do i set the a filter to extremely high to where i wont get any spam for my yahoo email addy?
there have been a few now...they are an online christmas card that plays and then it says your flash player has expired and you need to download a new one. Obviously I didn't download it but the link in the email takes me to a webpage by cretamarket and I'm not sure how to get them to stop sending spam because I use this email quite a bit.
everytime i log in i have differant emails from poeple i dont know i think they are like spam that are trying to get my info from my bank account. they are in my inbox before there was a way to block them and report them from your email account but now its not there. so i was wondering how i go about reporting it so if they send them to someone else they dont get scammed. i know not to respond but i want them to stop. please email me back with my answers. my email is meganjazzie2005@yahoo.co.uk
They were terrible and inaccurate to start, but now don't work. New and CLASSIC versions fail at this. i have tried v simple searches. Also - It put an email I sent myself INTO SPAM.
I get an email from Company X, it's spam so i mark it as such-it goes in the spam folder where it stays until Yahoo (or I) delete it. So why can't they just bounce it back to the sender? The technology exists to bounce an email if someone's email box is full, or if your email contains certain 'rude' words. Not that it seems to stop Viagra type ads. So do they make money from advertisers off the amount of emails sent and received so blocking emails would actually cost them money?
every time i try to send an email it pops up a verification code -says it's stopping me from sending spam. all i did was try to tell one of those thieves from nigeria to stop trying to rip me off. my filters don't seem to stop them and i'm getting mad. must be time to find new email
Just recently I've been getting spam email from random politicians that I've never heard of. I'm pretty sure I didn't sign up for some political email list. Since I'm getting emails from people that are also running for office and the emails are addressed to my first name, I'm guessing that there is a 'master database' that all of the politicians use to get name and email addresses from. So instead of having to unsubscribe from each individual emailing list, I would like to remove myself from the 'master database' so I can stop receiving these emails entirely.
I signed up for a word of the day email, and Y!mail classifies it as spam and sends it to the spam folder even though it's not spam and I want to read it. How do I stop this from happening?
