Resolved Question: Why have I suddenly started getting spam emails?
And how do I stop them? My anti virus software is up-to-date but for the last few weeks I have suddenly started getting inappropriate emails from the USA. Yesterday I had 99! They are going into my spam inbox, but I just want to get rid of them and stop getting any more.
Thank you.
Thanks

Open Question: Spam: how do I stop messages from “me”: spammers forging return address, using my email?
I use Gmail, I get an incredible amount of mail in Spam, from ‘me’, below is the info and advice from Google help, which I have followed by regularly forwarding the full header (spam) messages to the address they give. Meanwhile I am alarmed that the email address of my website is being used by spammers to send penis enlarging treatments:) CAN YOU HELP BY SUGGESTING A SOLUTION?
Google’s info and advice:
There are messages in Spam from ‘me.’
One common tactic used by spammers is to send a message to a recipient, and fake the ‘From:’ field to contain the same address. Spammers hope that because the mail is sent ‘from’ your address, it will slip past our spam filters. But not so fast! Gmail authenticates all of our mail, so we know when a message wasn’t actually sent by you.
Because Gmail replaces your email address with ‘me’ when you look at lists of messages, you may see spam mail from ‘me’ in your Spam folder. All this indicates is that someone forged the return address on your messages to be your own email address.
If we miss any messages, we ask you to report them by checking the box next to the unwanted message and clicking Report Spam at the top of your inbox, or by opening the message and clicking Report Spam at the top of the message.
You can help stop spammers by also sending the full headers of these unlawful messages to the Federal Trade Commission at spam@uce.gov.
REPORTING TO THE ABOVE HAS NOT DIMINISHED THE SPAM GOING OUT WITH MY FORGED ADDRESS, HELP!

Open Question: How come every time a play a game on Yahoo, I get a request to join a group of some kind?
And it’s usually a porn group. It grosses me out, and pisses me off. And I get an email about it every time I enter a Yahoo game. I’ve tried marking them as spam, but I still continue to get them. Why do I get these requests, and how can I stop them from coming?

Resolved Question: Spam is emailing all my addresses in my address book, how do I stop this?
Something has gotten into my address book and keeps sending my contacts spam messages with my address as the sender. My friends keep asking why am I sending them spam. I am not doing this how can I stop this from happening. It seems like some kind of spyware but I have Zone Alarm which should have caught this. No virus has been sent to destroy anything just spam to buy something.

Open Question: Sharing personal info on Points 2 Shop?
I stopped using P2S due to the fact that my email kept getting spammed with a ton of stupid emails. I know I should’ve used a spam email, but they also sometimes ask for my phone number. Should I give them a fake, made up phone number?
The same goes for my address, I don’t want to get a bunch of stuff mailed to my house, I just want points! Anyway around this at all?
I’ve tried Lockerz already and it sucks because I’ve had enough points to buy something for a while now but the stupid redeem days are so dumb in execution it is near impossible to get what you want.
