My outlook 2003 has been working fine since yesterday. Ive been using it with the same email account and settings for rougly 2 whole years now. but suddenley its all stopped working.
My email provider is Sky (which is also my ISP) and i believe the email service is powered by Gmail.
The problem is, when i send/recieve, it doesn’t download my mail. It sends my mail, but it doesnt downlaod my new mail. I know that i have new mail coz I’ve checked my email via Sky’s website and I had 10 unread emails that my outlook hadnt donwloaded. Outlook just aint downloading it any more and its really pissing me off.
This is a real hassle to me as Sky’s email via their website is really inefficient. I want to just use Outlook, but it aint bloody working! ARGH!
The mail isnt going into my spam folder or my junk folder. There was a setting on my antivirus that searches “incoming mail” i disabled this, it didn’t help.
My mail uses POP3 settings. I have also tried using IMAP, but this wont work either.
I can send mail, but not recieve it.
I have not changed any settings at all, it just stopped working on its own randomly.
I have followed Sky’s own guide for setting up Outlook2003 (i tried resetting it up) and it didnt help.
Can anyone help me? i really do need to fix this. thankyou for your time.
I did do a connection test. it couldnt find the “incoming mail server (pop3)”
