Resolved Question: Why can’t Yahoo block emails you mark as spam?

I get an email from Company X, it’s spam so i mark it as such-it goes in the spam folder where it stays until Yahoo (or I) delete it. So why can’t they just bounce it back to the sender? The technology exists to bounce an email if someone’s email box is full, or if your email contains certain ‘rude’ words. Not that it seems to stop Viagra type ads.

So do they make money from advertisers off the amount of emails sent and received so blocking emails would actually cost them money?
