In Yahoo, I’ve been getting a lot of spam. No big deal, just a quick delete, nothing to worry about.
Except now the spammers are doing something that’s really annoying me. I’m getting spam letters in my inbox that are dated dates in 2002, or 2004, or 1998. And where does the unread message go? Directly to the bottom of my inbox! And it shouldn’t bother me all that much, because it’s not a big deal, *but it does*!
So, two questions pop up.
First, how the hell are they doing this? Why would they even *want* to do this? Telling an email to send at a date in 1997 would require manipulating like, yahoo’s server itself, wouldn’t it? So what exactly are they doing?!
Secondly, how can I stop this? Can I block incoming letters dated farther back than a year ago? Can I stop letters from appearing after my read letters? I don’t want the letters that I save to be erased, and I have some from far back, but I want to take out the letters that are just spam with early years. What can I do?
Edit: Spam them back? Come on, I need a solution, not a revenge ploy.
